How It Works

Using FriendHuntr

Step 1: Find Your Trainer Code

Open Pokemon Go, tap your trainer profile in the bottom left corner, and you'll see your 12-digit trainer code. This unique number is what other players use to send you friend requests.

Step 2: Add Your Code to FriendHuntr

On our homepage, fill out the simple form with your trainer name, 12-digit code, team (optional), and what you're looking for (gifts, raids, trading, or PvP). You can also optionally add Pokemon you have and want for trading.

Step 3: Start Receiving Friend Requests

Your trainer code will appear on the homepage where thousands of Pokemon Go players can find it. Check your Pokemon Go app to accept incoming friend requests!

Step 4: Find Friends to Add

Browse recent friend codes on the homepage. Click any trainer's card to view their full profile, then copy their code and paste it into Pokemon Go to send them a friend request.

Pokemon Go Friendship Benefits

Friendship Levels & XP

  • Good Friend (1 day): 10,000 XP, trade discount
  • Great Friend (7 days): 10,000 XP, additional bonuses
  • Ultra Friend (30 days): 50,000 XP, attack boost in raids
  • Best Friend (90 days): 100,000 XP, maximum benefits
  • Forever Friend (90 more days after Best): Remote trading unlocked

Note: Use a Lucky Egg to double all friendship XP rewards!

Daily Gifts

Exchange gifts daily with friends to receive Poke Balls, potions, revives, berries, and sometimes special eggs. You can open up to 30 gifts per day and send up to 100 gifts to friends daily.

Raid Battles

Team up with friends for raid battles to receive attack bonuses and extra Premier Balls. Higher friendship levels provide bigger attack boosts during raids. Remote Raid Passes let you join raids anywhere your friends are battling, making it easier to catch legendary Pokemon.

Pokemon Trading

Trade Pokemon with friends to complete your Pokedex, earn candy, and potentially receive Lucky Pokemon with reduced stardust costs. Trading normally requires physical proximity (100 meters), but Forever Friends can complete one Remote Trade per day from any distance. Higher friendship levels reduce stardust costs significantly.

PvP Battles

Challenge friends to PvP battles in Great League, Ultra League, or Master League. Battle rewards include rare items and research task progress. You can battle friends remotely once per day.

Pokemon Go Teams

Team Valor (Red)

Led by Candela, with Moltres as mascot. Believes Pokemon are stronger and more warmhearted than humans. Values strength in battle and natural power.

Team Mystic (Blue)

Led by Blanche, with Articuno as mascot. Believes Pokemon have immeasurable wisdom. Values analyzing situations and understanding evolution.

Team Instinct (Yellow)

Led by Spark, with Zapdos as mascot. Believes Pokemon have excellent intuition. Values trusting instincts and the egg hatching process.

Your team choice is permanent and affects gym battles. However, it doesn't restrict trading, raiding with other teams, or gift exchanges. Many players enjoy coordinating with rival teams for gym turnover and better rewards.
